The Gnarwhal was released in 2021 asthe  fifth guitar model in the Dunable Guitars lineup. They knew that to justify a new release, it needed to truly offer something different, yet fit in with the existing Dunable ethos and aesthetic.

Sasha Dunable wanted to make the guitar that begs to be played and is impossible to put down. After meticulous engineering, this 25.5" scale neck set into a reverse offset body, crafted with a carved arm relief and belly cut quickly became one of the most popular Dunable models. 

Dunable Guitars is a boutique electric guitar and bass manufacturer based in Los Angeles  with a strong emphasis on heavy music genres like doom, stoner, sludge, progressive metal, and modern high-gain rock. The company was founded by Sacha Dunable, who is also known as the guitarist for the progressive/sludge metal band Intronaut. With years of experience in guitar repair, building, and custom work, Sacha started Dunable to create original designs rather than clones of classic models. Dunable offer two lines of instruments, USA Custom Shop where anything is possible and the Korean made DE Series that capture much of the USA vibe in a more affordable package Standard setup is regular tuning with 10-46 gauge strings. We can set your Dunable up with a different gauge string and tuning but there will be a charge for this, please contact the shop at info@coda-music with your requirements and we’ll let you know the cost. As this is a custom modification there will be a 20%  restocking fee if you wish to return the guitar if you don’t like it. This is not applicable if the instrument is faulty and does not affect your regular return rights in this regard.
