1984 Ibanez Destroyer II DT-450 – Black – Made in Japan – with Gigbag

A bold slice of mid-’80s Ibanez history, this 1984 Destroyer II DT-450 delivers aggressive styling, serious build quality, and classic Japanese craftsmanship. Built in Japan during a golden era for Ibanez, this model blends Explorer-inspired attitude with refined appointments and rock-solid performance.

The basswood body is topped with flame maple and finished in black with contrasting ivory binding, giving it a sharp, high-contrast look. The set-in maple neck provides excellent sustain and stability, paired with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard featuring pearloid triangle inlays for that unmistakable Destroyer aesthetic.

Equipped with a pair of Ibanez V5 humbuckers mounted in metal pickup rings, this guitar delivers punchy mids, tight lows, and articulate highs—perfect for classic hard rock, ‘80s metal, and beyond. The Pro Rock’r double-locking tremolo system with locking nut keeps tuning stable under aggressive playing, while Sure Grip II knobs and Smooth Tuner II machines round out the original hardware package. The gold hardware shows light, natural patina consistent with age.
