Epiphone Les Paul Custom Zakk Wylde Signature 2008 – Buzzsaw Orange, Signed, EMG ZW Set Limited BUZZSAW CHROME

This is an Epiphone Zakk Wylde Signature Buzzsaw Orange, made in 2008 in Korea, based on the serial number.

The top features an authentic signature from Zakk Wylde himself.

In November 2009, a talk show event hosted by a music store in Tokyo was held, with only 100 participants selected by lottery. According to the previous owner, he was one of the winners and attended the event. At that time, only customers who purchased a Zakk Wylde model (Gibson or Epiphone) were eligible to receive a signature directly from Zakk. This is the signature on this guitar. Based on the previous owner’s testimony and information from the store, I believe the signature to be genuine.

After acquiring this guitar, I installed a pre-owned EMG ZW Set Limited BUZZSAW CHROME pickup set. This rare pickup set was produced to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the partnership between EMG and Zakk Wylde. Only 100 sets were made per finish (three graphic variations, each available in Gold and Chrome), making it extremely collectible.

The pickup installation was professionally done by a repair shop, and the guitar has been fully set up. I have never seen an example where the body graphic and the BUZZSAW CHROME pickups are matched in this way, making this an exceptionally rare combination. With Zakk’s signature on top, this is a dream piece for fans and collectors.

The condition is excellent. The previous owner kept it carefully stored and rarely played it. It is hard to believe this guitar is over 15 years old. Opportunities to acquire a piece like this are extremely rare.

As stated above, there are no noticeable major scratches, and it remains in beautiful condition. Of course, if inspected closely, minor surface marks may be present.

The signature has not been clear-coated. If you wish to preserve it, I strongly recommend having a professional repair shop apply protective coating rather than attempting it yourself.
