Optek Fretlight Pro 200 Amber Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have an Optek Fretlight Pro in Amber finish. Made in Korea, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Maple body, a Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a 6-Saddle Hard Tail bridge with Unstamped saddles and a set of Gotoh Covered tuning machines. A pair of Single-Coil pickups are installed in the neck and middle positions while a humbucking pickup is fitted in the bridge, these are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, and tone with push/pull. The 3 knobs on the lower bout allow you to control the LEDs on the fretboard to illuminate modes, scales and chords of your choosing.

The Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘D’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck makes transitioning around the neck free and easy. The smooth lines of the body along with generous body contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze.

The Single-Coils installed in this instrument deliver clean and classic tones you would expect from a single coil. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the top edge of the rear face, these have not exposed the wood beneath. Light paint transfer is present to the top edge of the headstock.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck in the higher register, these can lightly be felt in the playing position. Light glue residue is present to the treble side edge of the neck, this can be lightly felt and seen under direct light at the 15th fret.

Body: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching can be seen to all aspects of the body under direct light, common with gloss finishes.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register.  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. The bridge and saddles display light tarnishing of the gold finish consistent with past use.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
