🇺🇸 OUR VALUED USA CUSTOMER, we are shipping from Toronto, Canada but you don't need to worry about the tariffs because the guitar's country of origin is USA.
A beautifully sounding and playing Gibson Chet Atkins Signature. Quite rare is such great condition.
In his never-ending quest for feedback-free high-volume playing, Chet Atkins had his say in the design of many instruments over the course of his career. The Gibson Chet Atkins CE was introduced in 1981, and enjoys the distinction of being the first solidbody classical to see large-scale production. Chet was using nylon strings quite a lot by the late 1970's and early 80's, and worked with Gibson to create the solid spruce over mahogany CE.
The guitar features a piezo-crystal pickup design, thin solid body with cut-away and traditional classical trimmings, and ebony fingerboard, and crossover-spec fingerboard width of 1.75” at the nut. The guitar's radiussed fingerboard and scale of 25.4” make it a very friendly guitar for any steel-sting reared picker to play.
Condition
The guitar is in excellent condition despite the age. There are a few light imperfections, noticeable only when looking closely. Overall, normal wear from use, nothing crazy. The plastic ring in the "sound hole" seem to have been repaired. The nitro finish has crackles from aging. There is no visible fretwear. The neck is very comfortable and easy to play. Set up for medium low action, great for fast runs and super easy chord playing. Whatever white spots you see on the pictures are just reflections.
We keep our guitars in a room with 50% relative humidity.
