Up for sale, a 2025 Colorsound One Knob Fuzz “Sakata” in mint condition, complete with the original box and paperwork. One of only 15 produced in this extremely limited run, this unique spin on the Tone Bender platform, inspired by Dick Denney’s legendary single knob circuit, was offered exclusively by Macari’s in the UK. Its name is derived from Harold Sataka’s performance in the James Bond film Goldfinger, which premiered the same year Denney drew up the original design in 1964.
With a circuit by master pedal builder David Main of D*A*M Stompboxes in South Yorkshire, the Sakata essentially combines the Hybrid One Knob with a Mk 1.5 Tone Bender, delivering rich, churning sizzle and buzzsaw splat at the twist of a single knob. Marrying silicon and germanium, the front end is a CDIL (continental devices India) BC179C silicon transistor and the germanium is the legendary black can STC TK22C.
The interior of the baseplate is signed by David Main, and the exterior is hand-numbered #010. The sticker inside the compartment is dated 22/01/25.
The original box and paperwork are included.
