Up for sale is a NOS (new-old-stock) Teac/Tascam erase head — part #53783002 — removed from a Tascam 38 purchase where it was kept as an unused spare. Although it was already in great shape, the head was professionally relapped in October 2021 by Terry Summers (England) to ensure optimal magnetic surface and performance.
This erase head is a direct replacement for machines that use the 53783002 erase element, including the Tascam 38, Tascam 48 and TSR-8. Ideal for restoration projects, studio maintenance, or as a high-quality spare.
