Rick Toone guitars are defined by obsessive design, precision engineering, and uncompromising attention to detail. This Goshawk is a prime example of Rick’s philosophy—an instrument built with intention at every stage, balancing innovation, ergonomics, and musical responsiveness.
Rick personally designs the instrument, cuts and shapes the wood, executes the finishing work, and fabricates the carbon fiber pickguard in-house. The aluminum cantilever bridge and hardware components are designed by Rick and manufactured externally to his exact specifications.
Electronics and hardware are sourced from best-in-class partners, including Hipshot tuners and custom DiMarzio pickups hand-wound to Rick Toone’s specifications by DiMarzio’s lead designer. Additional components such as frets, pots, selector, jack, nut, and strap buttons are premium third-party parts chosen for reliability and performance.
The result is a guitar with exceptional balance, clarity, and responsiveness—equally suited for serious players and discerning collectors who appreciate thoughtful design and world-class craftsmanship.
