Overview The Gretsch 6159 Dual Bass was built by Valco in Chicago and marketed for guitar, bass, and accordion. Despite the name, it became a sought-after guitar amp for its tweed-Fender-style overdrive when pushed and its lush all-tube tremolo. 35 watts through a pair of 6L6 power tubes driving two 12-inch Jensen "Special Design" bass speakers (Jensen C12PS spec), top-mounted control panel with dual channels and tremolo, black Tolex covering. This example is from the Brett Allen Studio Rental collection and shows cosmetic character consistent with long-term working studio use.
