Cryfder is a dual diode-based voltage-controlled amplifier for Eurorack modular systems, with a small but mighty real vacuum fluorescent triode as a mixer, overdrive, distortion and feedback loop creator. Each VCA has CV attenuverters with DC offset, and can be driven into soft clipping. Audio and CV inputs of VCA 1 are normalled to VCA 2, allowing for configuration as a stereo VCA, voltage-controlled panner or crossfader, and much more. A vintage VFD triode has been transformed into a genuine directly heated thermionic amplifier stage, with adjustable positive feedback for overdrive, distortion, fuzz and eventually full self-oscillation.

Cryfder is entirely realised with through-hole components for ease of assembly. All our front panels are high-quality anodised CMYK prints on chunky, quality brushed aluminium sheet stock, made in the UK.
