Player’s impression:

Easy-blowing mouthpiece with a **dark, warm and fat sound** on soprano, while the curved baffle provides solid projection. Great for **jazz ballads, Steve Lacy–inspired sounds, and any context where you want a richer, less bright soprano tone**. Intonation and response are very comfortable across the full range.

Reason for selling:

I recently settled on a different mouthpiece concept (large chamber, no baffle – Rampone & Cazzani style), so this Smoky 8 doesn’t get any use anymore.
