Up for sale, a 2004 Rickenbacker 325C58 “Blue Boy” in near-mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case. An extremely unique Rickenbacker model, this custom color Blue Boy is in our best estimation one of five produced in 2004 with the 325’s distinctive (and rare beyond rare) F hole. The finish is expertly executed, likely the work of Paul A. Wilczynski of “Studio California,” and a pitch perfect iteration of Rickenbacker’s “Color of the Year” Blue Boy finish.
A short scale Rickenbacker that truly captures the classic jangle and percussive rhythm familiar to any Beatles fan, the 325C58 features a semi-hollow alder body that has a distinctive natural acoustic resonance. The scatterwound Toaster Top pickups offer distinct flavors in each pickup position, and this Ric has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 12-52 roundwound strings, low action and accurate intonation.
