Here is a model 101 3/4 violin built by Kiso Suzuki, Nagoya, Japan, 1975. These were built as Stradivarius copies. The mid 1970s was the height of Japanese luthiers abilities and were renowned during this period for their quality, choice woods and attention to detail as master copiers.
This is a beautiful instrument and in exceptional condition showing no serious evidence of wear or strain with the exception of one wear mark on the lower bout. Thanks to the choice, aged wood (spruce top, maple back & sides, ebony board; the sound is full and soulful.
