"I want people to be able to bring the sound you get at a stadium show into their living room, and I've done that. I hope people find inspiration in it." - Brian May.

The MV50 Brian May is a unique and inspiring guitar amplifier that is the result of a collaboration between Vox and the legendary Sir Brian May of Queen. His iconic sound has been successfully integrated into the innovative Vox MV50 Nutube amp.

Designed and developed in collaboration with the legendary guitarist himself, guitarists can now enjoy Brian May's iconic, massive rock sound in a tube amp that fits comfortably in one hand.

The MV50 Brian May features Vox's Nutube technology - a revolutionary new vacuum tube that produces authentic tube tone at a fraction of the size and power. It is based on the MV50 circuit and AC30 tone, but also features a KAT (Knight Audio Technologies) treble booster that can be switched on and off, allowing guitarists to achieve the instantly recognisable tone of Brian May.

The MV50 has a control panel with a gain, tone and volume control and an EQ switch that can be switched from flat (for larger speakers) to deep (to achieve a big sound even with smaller speakers). With an output power of 50W into 4 ohms, the MV50 offers decent power despite its small size and is therefore perfect for gigs, rehearsals and even for practising at home. With the speaker simulation in the headphone/line output, the MV50 Brian May can be recorded directly via an interface without having to remove a speaker.

Weighing in at just 540 grams, the MV50 BM is one of the lightest tube amps on the market, making Brian May's iconic sound highly portable. ‘I wouldn't mind seeing how it performs at a future stadium show.’ - Brian May

With an eye-catching red casing, the MV50 Brian May is a visual nod to the legendary “Red Special” guitar. The front of the amplifier features the signature VOX diamond pattern and Brian May's signature to represent his personal approval of the amplifier named after him.
