Here is a very cool Gibson Custom Shop '60 Les Paul from 2014! This is a gloss guitar done in Bourbon Burst that has some notable updates.

Standard features include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, and a figured maple top. The pickups are updated to unpotted uncovered Custombuckers, with a standard wind bridge pickup and an underwound neck pickup. There was never a pickguard installed on this one, so there are no mounting holes.

The guitar has seen some rewiring in the past though it's essentially back to stock in the control cavity. There is an extra hole under each pickup ring, and an indentation from a screw under each ring. One of the knob reflectors is missing. The frets are in great shape. The back of the neck has a couple of tiny, faint dings, and the finish dye has browned subtly. The body and headstock face show a number of tiny dings, surface scratches and player marks.

This one weighs 8lbs 11oz. The neck measures .800 to .950 at the 1st and 12th. The top is very strong from certain angles, though does disappear from others. It's a lively and loud guitar acoustically. It has a great tonal spectrum with a nice woody punch off the body, good clarity, and a glassy top end. It's been played and tinkered with a bit, but it's a wonderful player and a great piece to gig with!
