Shinichi Ubukata is a highly acclaimed Japanese guitarist and songwriter. He began his career in 1998 as a guitarist for Ellegarden, releasing five albums and several EPs and maxi-singles. When Ellegarden went on hiatus in 2008, Ubukata formed Nothing's Carved In Stone, which has released 11 albums to date. Ellegarden reformed in 2018 and continues to work, releasing their sixth album in 2022.

The Epiphone Shinichi Ubukata ES-355 ver.02, which will be released this time, inherits the specifications of Gibson's signature model, such as diamond-shaped F-holes with binding, Grover Rotomatic tuners, Gibson 57 Classic pickups, Bigsby B70 vibrato, Varitone switch, and the "skull" logo on the back of the headstock, and is available in five colors. It also comes with an Epiphone hardshell case featuring Ikugata's iconic "skull" logo.
