Vintage Mouthpiece Wind Trumpet Bronze 1910s Russian Empire Patina
I don't know what kind of blowpipe this mouthpiece is used for, I'm not a musician. There is no stamp on the mouthpiece. An internet search did not yield any additional information. I think only specialists in this field will be able to name the manufacturer for this device. Most likely, such a plant or factory no longer exists and such mouthpieces are not produced.
Judging by its appearance, it seems to me that the mouthpiece was made during the Russian Empire - a country that no longer exists, in the 10s of the 20th century.
It is made of bronze, heavy for its size and has a very good state of preservation. I did not remove the patina on purpose. Buyers are divided approximately 50/50: some like the patina, others like the shine.I am sure that it can be safely used further after a little maintenance. From the size of the mouthpiece I can assume that it is used on a tuba or equivalent large trumpet.
Dimensions:
Length - 8 cm (3.15 inch)Diameter of the inlet for the lips - 4 cm (1.57 inch)Diameter of the outlet - 1 cm (0.40 inch)Weight - 135 g
The mouthpiece is sold as is, so please look at the photos carefully and ask questions. With respect, we are waiting for a buyer!
