Rare original batter head from the “Solid” snare drum company that was originally titled “Select” but had to change the name before selling to the public. Solid was owned by Johnny Craviotto and Bill Gibson of Huey Lewis and the News.
This came off a 4x14 Cast Bronze drum that I bought brand new in Toronto in 1990 and there were only a handful of these drums ever made and are long out of business.
I was told the drum recently sold for $8k usd and I sold this over 20 years ago.
