Up for sale is 1977 Vintage Fender Telecaster Pick Guard / Pickguard / Scratch Plate
3-ply BWB construction. In good condition over all, though the cutout for the truss rod adjustment cavity is a little chewed up.
I believe this to have been routed to accommodate a humbucking pickup. The 8 holes to affix the pickguard to the guitar body are beveled. The six holes surrounding the pickup cavity are not. Measurements can be provided upon request.
A serial number in the format S7XXXXX appears on a sticker on the back of the pickguard, allowing easy dating for this model. Fender gave up this practice pretty soon after beginning it in the late 1970s.
ONLY THE PICK GUARD IS included in this listing!!! Photo of control plate, knobs, and strap buttons included for reference only, but are also for sale on separate listings (at time of writing).
