MF / Jacques Simoneau custom bass 6 strings fretless

Beautiful custom bass handcrafted by luthier Jacques Simoneau from Lutherie MF in Montreal (Alain Caron's basses builders)
6 strings fretless, exotic wood, ebony fretboard (will get it to MF to refresh my memory about the exact wood composition)

- neck through body (one piece)
- 34" scale, 24 frets
- unlined fretless with side marks and 12 to 24 "fret" dots
- hollowbody bass, giving it great resonance and especially light weight

Warm, natural fretless tone, sustain for ages!

- Passive electronics with Bartolini soapbar pickup (volume, tone, coil tap switch)
- "Aftermarket" custom wood thumb rest
- Set with very low action, with some Rotosound rounds, light gauge
- Tight string spacing (hard to measure without the proper instrument but it's about 17.5mm)

Versatile bass, used for everything from jazz to death metal

Excellent condition, some marks and wear from years of playing but nothing exceptionnal. Pics aren't great but you can see the overall condition. This bass was bought used, this wasn't a custom build for me.
