Welcome back to David's Makita theme park. “Strad-a-Tiger” # 9 2006-2024
The guitar I built you; is a hollow solid body maple walnut sandwich, creating purified acoustic projection. Strad-a-Tiger has a warm full-bodied warmth that exceeds the expectations of the original Garcia Irwin Tiger guitar. Jerry would have been impressed with the unplugged glow this guitar forever provides.

Hand cut Tiger plate, no CNC machines.
Gold “Harmonica“ bridge, Schaller M6 tuners. & Strap-locks
Bronze finger-board inlays, brass fittings, slot screws.
16 piece neck, brass bindings, glue,& screw reinforced fret markers.
24 jumbo frets, sculpted brass “gondola mountain-scape” nut.
D’Addario flat-wound, 10-48, solid D
7 layer walnut, padauk, maple hollow body
Sculpted walnut lumber from my lot-line tree. (Cut 1994)
Floral abalone, pearl, brass, maple, back-side inlay.
Brass inlaid body pinstriping.
Fools gold knobs,
Easy remove complete harness, OBEL splits, extra tone control.
Easy pick-up change-overs, with isolated connections. No pre amp.
Perhaps you have treated every other guitar like a bar-stool… This guitar is to be handled like a new-born baby. Don’t drop or crush it ! It is delicate like a viola cello. … A flaw with my design;....!!neck heavy!!… solved with a “Guitar-strap bottle holder” to correct the balance.
