2014 Fender Custom Shop "Proto" Precision, Arctic White finish in excellent + condition. It has minor signs of use with just a few small nicks and dings but nothing major. It's an amazing player with an incredible neck. The frets show no wear. Original custom shop tweed case and COA included. It's been fully set up in our workshop and has a straight neck and great action. Serial: R74881. Nut width: 43.4 mm / Depth at 1st fret: 20.3 mm. Weight: 9 lbs 3 oz / 4.17 kg.
Proto Series models (formerly Pro Series) are the Fender Custom Shop's proving-ground instruments, built with distinctive features typically requested for Master Built guitars and basses.
Fender Custom have incorporated several such features into a special custom instrument - the 2014 Proto Precision Bass, which has a hand-selected alder body and a one-piece quartersawn hard rock maple neck with a smooth satin finish. Other features include a 7.25"-radius fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets, a custom TV Jones Thunderblade pickup, a high-mass RSD bass bridge, and vintage-style tuners.
