Before Don Teeter you were lucky to get a guitar repaired correctly. ‘If’ you could afford it you could send a find instrument back to Gibs, Fender , Guild or Martin .
These books changed all that .
The methods and inventive devises Teeter came up with are all in these two books . Volume 1 ( pre crazy glue ) goes for over $80 on Amazon and it’s close to impossible to find volume 2. ( apres crazy glue ) lol.
These books served me well as I made my living since 1980 doing stringed instrument repair and I still use many of the fantastic methods I learned from both books . I owned and ran Diamond Strings out of Rochester NY and worked with luthier Bernard Lehmann who had learned quite a bit from these books as well . The covers are a bit tattered bug they still keep these special books in fine condition.
