A 6.5 by 14-inch Gretsch Broadkaster Standard snare drum the late 40s or early 50s. Eight rocket lugs, Feather Touch/Renown strainer and die cast stick hopper rims. All nickel plated hardware, original white lacquer finish, 3-ply shell with scarf joint.

This is a strange drum in that it has a Rogers butt plate which appears to be original, and no badge (but an original-looking grommet). Rogers sold drums with rocket lugs and this may be a Rogers offering, though they never used Gretsch strainers so it's a mystery.

Generally very good condition. Strainer is 9/10 and functions very well. Rims have typical plating loss, otherwise all the plating is very excellent, particularly the lugs. All hardware works with no issues, the shell and rims are in round, and both original bearing edges are very clean. There is some minor ply separation in a could places, notably at the joint. Should be easily corrected. Lacquer finish  is in very good shape with spiderweb cracks and crazing but very little paint actually missing.

Nothing on this drum has been cleaned in any way and it has a significant patina and lots of dirt and grime. It will polish up nicely.

Fits modern heads snugly but without too much fuss.
