Custom built all-tube head by amp guru Mike Morin. One of a kind, point-to-point handwired design made in the 90s with the highest quality parts available. Works perfectly and sounds incredible.
Many players know of the Morin modified Marshalls as used by Slash (Velvet Revolver era) and bands recorded at NRG Studios (Linkin Park, Korn, Staind, Alien Ant Farm, Papa Roach, Trapt), but few have had a chance to own one of these incredibly rare original heads. Devin Townsend used an original Morin amp like this to record Strapping Young Lad's City album. Mark Diglio of XYZ is another notable user.
Features two footswitchable channels (Fender clean with three position bright switch and a high gain, Marshall-inspired lead) and a tube driven effects loop. Dual push-pull gain controls and a mid boost switch allow a huge range of tones to be dialed in, from crunchy JCM800 tone to 80s hot rod and thick, super aggressive metal sounds. A six position freqency knob on the back fine tunes the midrange content. The low input cops nice vintage Marshall tone.
Oversized 100W power transformer and high B+ voltage (475-480V) push 70 watts from just two EL34s. A Mercury Magnetics Plexi output transformer gives the amp incredibly clarity and touch sensitivity.
Just given a complete service and retweaking by Mike. Loaded with Beijing 12AX7 preamp tubes and biased JJ EL34s. Includes footswitch, cable and power cord.
Will be double boxed and packed with the utmost care.
