TAZM-O from ALM is a 12HP Oscillator with influences from the Roland SH-101 and Serge's NTO. Dynamic thru-0 FM (w/ Index VCA) is added on top.

ALM's first analog oscillator TAZM-O is inspired by real classics when it comes to analog sound synthesis. There is the possibility to morph the waveform and pulse width continuously, following the example of the Serge NTO. Here it goes from sine to sawtooth, to PWM, also possible using CV control. Furthermore, two sub-oscillator outputs are available, which are SH-101-style two pulse width variations. Those of you who know the 101 (you all do!?) know what can be done here in terms of bass lines. Another feature which is traditionally found rather in larger complex oscillators is a voltage-controlled FM index for dynamic FM. Also included is Thru-Zero frequency modulation, an LFO function, an internal VCA and voltage-controlled octave transposition, similar to ALM' own Akemie`s Castle.

Features:

  • analog oscillator with Thru-Zero-FM

  • sine, triangle, sawtooth and pulse wave with morphable waveform like in Serge NTO

  • Roland SH-style pulse sub-octaves

  • CV controllable FM index

  • output level VCAl

  • CV controlled octave transposition similar to Akeme Castle FM VCO

  • 12 patch points
