Smaller Vintage Amps always have had such a simple tone, and this Oahu is exactly why tube tone is so sought after even today.
Front Panel:
Three Inputs (Two Instrument or Low Gain, One Microphone or High Gain)
Volume Control for Input, and a very Subtle Tone knob.
Work Completed (Documented on Schematic) :
New Capacitors, both Tone and Electrolytics
New Choke to Replace Field Coil
Assorted Resistors throughout Circuit
Updated Speaker with Remounting of Output Transformer
Grounded Plug and Wire
This combo now is a complete frame in time, being built somewhere in the 1940s or early 1950s and can now be played safely again. We have never seen one in this good of condition, and hope the next owner appreciates it just as much!
