This is truly a closet find. It was bought new in 1996 by a church musician, but never used. I got it from his son three years ago and have enjoyed playing it at home and recording. It comes with Hamer hardshell case.
This is an amazing fretless bass. Made in USA, this gorgeous bass is all black (with subtle gold flecks), black hardware, and white sparkle pick guard. However, the fretless fingerboard, ebony with brown inlaid "fret" lines, is silky smooth and resonant. The neck is slim and narrow, very comfortable to play. The body has a few minor scuffs from home use and performances at church.
The stock passive pickups and controls provide a wide range of clear tone and satisfying "mwah". It has black nylon wrapped strings, tuned down a whole step to give a wonderful low D growl.
There is a small dent in the top of the headstock and the truss rod cover is loose. These are shown on the fifth image.
You will love this bass. It fun to play, looks incredible, and sounds great.
