This is a 2018 Gibson 60s Tribute Les Paul goldtop in killer condition. 2018 is the year Gibson made these with no weight relief, yet it still weighs just 8 pounds, 9 ounces. Solid body will produce superior tone compared to weight-relieved Tributes. In addition, I have just given this a full level, crown and polish. Rolled the fret ends and done a detailed setup. I know how to level and polish frets to a glassy finish and this guitar will play better by a mile than other Tributes you'll find--butter!

These Tributes have a thin nitro finish that lets the sound breathe. They come loaded with chrome covered Gibson 490R/490T humbuckers. You also get the much loved 60s SlimTaper neck profile and a mahogany body and neck. Rosewood fretboard with large neck inlays, green tulip tuners, creme pickguard, gold knobs--it looks awesome.

Cosmetically, this one is really nice and starting to show some of the mild relicing these are known for (see pics). Nice little bit of character. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

NOTE: Most people selling these don't know what they have: they advertise them as a "Gibson Tribute" and don't specify if it's a 50s or 60s version! The 50s neck profile is fatter and chunkier compared to the "slim" profile on this 60s model. Make sure you ask before buying!

What You Get
-- Full setup, cleaning, and new strings.
-- 30-day return policy.
-- Ship within 1 business day--pro packing.

Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

The Tribute T's satin-finished mahogany/maple body is made more comfortable through weight relief. Its SlimTaper mahogany neck honors a style beloved throughout the ages. And Tektoid tuners and modern Gold Top Hat knobs offer the charms of a vintage instrument without the cost. Pair these with a set of vintage-style 490 humbuckers, and you've got a guitar that's fine enough to be your daily driver, yet affordable enough to be your weekend warrior: the Gibson Les Paul Tribute T.

Plek'd for precision playability

This Les Paul Tribute 2017 T feels fast and precise, thanks in large part to Plek processing. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you're likely to own. Each note rings loud and clear, and the fret edges feel smooth as silk.

SlimTaper mahogany neck plays fast and smooth

The neck on this Tribute T Les Paul is a breath of fresh air. Its SlimTaper neck profile conforms naturally to the hand, for smooth leads up top and fast licks down low. If you're looking for the comfort of a '60s Gibson, Sweetwater recommends the Tribute T.

Gibson 490 pickups are a modern take on a 1960s classic

English guitarists of the 1960s were looking for a more aggressive sound to push their modern brand of blues, rock, and soul. Gibson responded with its 490 pickup set. These had more bite than Gibson's PAF ("Patent Applied For") pickups of the 1950s. The reissue 490T and 490R pay tribute to this turning point in rock history. Their voice is smooth and clearly vintage inspired, yet to our ears has more high-end cut and midrange chutzpah than vintage pickups. They're also wax potted to reduce microphonic feedback, which is a big win with high-gain amp pairings.
