Millipede FX - Overdrive / Distortion Guitar Pedal with VU Meter - 'Dystopian Dystortion' - Black

The Dystopian Dystortion is based around the classic Electra Distortion pedal with a number of custom modifications to the circuit. It is designed to deliver a smooth signal boost in the lower gain/boost settings, building up to a powerful distortion effect!

CONTROLS: The Dystopian Dystortion – overdrive/distortion pedal has a simple gain level knob on the left, and a boost/distortion knob on the right. The circuit has also been fitted with a switch that allows the removal of the diodes for a boost effect. NOTE: This boost change is noticeable only at the higher gain settings.

It features an active VU Meter (Volume Unit) for that cool, retro look – just like your parent’s old hi-fi or classic tube amp.  It is has a side mounted ‘sensitivity’ control knob allowing you to dial in how much ‘wiggle’ you’d like to appear on the meter (useful if you generally play at higher or lower gain levels) and an on/off switch if you’d like to disengage the meter from the circuit.  NOTE: These classic style analogue VU meters give a ‘perceived’ and intentionally delayed loudness measurement so it is really more for the retro styling, and to show off to your friends rather than a specific measurement tool as you’d find on a modern digital or software VU meter.

The pedal is fitted with a 2.1mm 9V DC ‘Boss’ style Power Jack. (NOTE: There is no battery snap installed.)

Every pedal is individually hand made and assembled by me. No two pedals are alike. I hand wire each pedal, apply the spray paint and custom graphics by hand. There may be some small visual imperfections. However, each one is tested for sound and build quality, personally.

The Millipede FX pedals can be customised with different colours and graphics.
