The Saturnworks normally closed micro tap tempo/external control switch works with an array of Boss devices. The micro switch features high quality components and a spacey aesthetic in a tiny 2" x 2" enclosure.
In 2021 we began using a new higher-grade soft touch momentary switch in our soft touch momentary applications. Our new switch is both very quiet and beefier than any other soft touch momentary switch we’ve seen on the market.
This pedal features a soft touch normally closed (NC) switch. Normally closed switches work with Boss pedals that spec momentary control switches, including the DD-5, DD-7, DD-20, DD-200, RC-2, RC-3, RC-500, MS-3, and many more. Most Boss devices use momentary switches for tap and switching applications. You can check your manual to confirm that your device specs momentary switches. The Saturnworks normal closed micro switches replaces the FS-5U for Boss momentary (not latching) switching applications.
Most brands, such as MXR, Dunlop, Line 6, Electro Harmonix (the EHX Canyon, Oceans 11, or Deluxe Memory Man TT-1100, for example), Ernie Ball, and most boutique brands with external tap tempo or switching capability, use normally open (NO) switches. If you need a normally open switch, please check out our listing for a normally open micro tap switch.
