About This Listing

This was converted to 8 string, which was common for these Melobars. We have the original parts to easily bring back to original 10 string. Rosac era and in nice condition except for some finish wear. Comes with a Ritter padded gig bag. This instrument was owned by San Antonio lap steel player, the late Gib Wharton, whose recording credits include some with jazz singer Cassandra Wilson. The modifications were done by the legendary San Antonio luthier (now retired) Gene Warner.
