Original vintage 1988 Alembic Elan IV in gorgeous, quilted Birdseye maple. The Alembic is the superlative bass, custom made, neck-through construction, and all of the bespoke, hand finished touches of a truly great instrument. They remain the unrivaled benchmark, and this example is no exception. The finely figured maple top simply glows, and the jazz/ jazz pickup configuration sounds amazing, with big, beefy thump in the neck, and a gorgeous, piano like bell tone in the bridge. You will not play her superior.
Cosmetically, she’s quite lovely indeed, and those fine woods have developed an attractive amber glow over the years, with nice patina, and light finish and play wear. The original hard case pictured is included. Enjoy!
