Here on Reverb, I'm offering up for sale another unique early Tama item. This
1976 Tama Stage Star snare stand is in excellent condition. I'm saying 1976 because that's the first year I can find it in the Tama Catalogue History. This stand is
very clean and it has no missing parts. The Stage Star Series was the upper level version of Tama's early hardware, it is evident by the craftsmanship and beautiful lines in its construction, kind of like art deco:). It has heavy gauge single braced legs and the classic Tama oversized wing bolt and nuts. There is absolutely no sway in this stand, the joints are all tight. The rubber feet move freely on the threaded feet to provide the option of using the spikes. The rubber on the snare cradle arms is (amazingly) still supple. There is a spot on the tip of one cradle arm that is split and it's also missing a 1/4'' piece (photos 2 and 4). This is an easy enough repair, but I'll leave it up to the buyer of this piece to use their own skills to fix it.
