If you're looking for total best bang for the buck, you just might be looking at the right place...
When I picked up this guitar I thought it would be worth quite a bit more... El Degas is a good brand. It had that top end MIJ feel to it. It's an MIK actually, so turns out its worth a bit less. My loss... Great tone, playability, good output pickups with even a coil split option... Hefty Floyd type top loading tremolo... Tuners are a bit cheap but they work better than they look.
There are a few scuff marks on the body and one bigger chip (photographed). The neck is in great shape, though. Overall apperance is quite slick, with the dark fingerboard and polished frets to match the 'all-black' strat look.
A telling detail is that the tremolo cavity is custom routed, which goes to say they didn't just pick up ready made bodies to dress them up. There's a feel to this guitar.
I did a complete set-up on this guitar, leveled a few bum frets and polished the rest. Neck is oiled, fresh strings. Ready to rock right out of the box, for the price of a pedal, at your door.
