Farfisa FR-40 1964

For sale an original and very famous Farfisa italian amp. The all tube FR-40! The amp is in overall good conditions except for some tears in the grill cloth and tolex as you can see in the pics. Recently done a complete cap job (all the filter caps are new) and now the amp sounds good. Speakers are 2 original and fine sounding 1964 Jensen C12-R, and preamp tubes are the very sought after EF86.

And the buyer will get with the amp a NOS MULLARD EF86 in his box as you can see in the pic. The tube is included!

Here my opinion about it:

Channel 1: not so loud but very Fenderish! The tone is amazing and very similar to the glorious vintage Fender tone

Channel 2: I don't like it

Channel 3: Loud and very present! Here the tone is more scooped in the mid range, I could say... more Marshall but don't expect hard distortion levels

Reverb: Is spring! In my opinion is really good, very similar to the typical Fender reverb

Tremolo: I can't say anything as doesen't work but I think is only a switch problem. Switch is very poor quality!
