Rare Vintage USA 1979 Gibson Les Paul GK-55 Guitar, Custom Set Neck! Junior Red

Up for your eBaying pleasure is a rare and outstanding find. We're always on the lookout for rare and interesting guitars in need of love and we stumbled upon this gem. A 1979 Gibson Les Paul GK-55. One of only 1000 made in 1979-80 this guitar was originally a bolt on based on the 1955 Gibson Les Paul. NO headstock breaks or repairs and the perfect candidate for the full Sixx Gun Music custom shop treatment. The guitar came in with a few extra layers of paint, non original pickups and was routed for an extra middle pickup which we have filled in with solid wood. We refinished the guitar in cherry red with a relic to reflect it's age, but before that decided why not set the neck and make this even better? So that's what we did making this 70's GK-55 one of a kind, improving sustain and making this guitar play even better. The guitar also features Kluson Deluxe nickel tuners and original bridge/tailpiece. The frets are level with plenty of playing life, and because this came in with non original pickups we've installed our own Margasa Hurricane high output zebra humbuckers and a Switchcraft jack, other electronics were left as is. The neck is slim and very comfortable to play. This is an excellent opportunity to own a 70's Gibson Les Paul that you can guarantee no one else will have, plays killer and will last for many extra years to come. We're also shipping this in a brand new Les Paul molded Guardian hardshell case in black tolex to protect this vintage axe.
