Roland R-8 MK2 OS v1.03 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT

• Firmware OS v1.03 the latest operating system issued update by Roland for the R-8 MK2.
• Included will be 1 new EPROM chip to complete the upgrade.

The R-8 MK2 unit itself is not for sale,only the EPROM upgrade chip will be supplied.

• The v1.03 upgrade contains several bug fixes, improved stability and finalized system code optimizations.
• Please note – This R-8 MK2 upgrade is not compatible with any of the other R-8 series units. Send me a message if you need help with the first revision R-8 or the R-8M, thanks.

To verifythe current firmware revision installed in your R-8 MK2:

• Hold [ TEMP ASGN ] and [ EXIT ] then turn on the R-8 MK2 to which you will be prompted with *** TEST MODE ***
• Press [ ENTER ]  to which you will be prompted with the currently installed EPROM in your R-8 MK2.
• Press [ ENTER ] again and you will be asked “Are you sure?” and press [ ENTER ] again.
• You will see “Initialization Completed” to indicate that the R8 MK 2 is now back in its normal operation mode.
