Tired of your stock Jazzmaster Vibrato but don't want to shell out the dough for a Mastery set?
Check out this bigsby b5 kit. It comes with a metal plate adapter from Vibramate that lets you screw the bigsby right onto your existing Jazzmaster/Jaguar without any modifications.
The bigsby itself has been modified by myself for improved use. I've done these mods to about 4 different bigbys now.
I removed the string posts and instead drilled through holes for much easier string loading. (Look up videos on how to restring a stock Bigsby and you'll see what a pain it was!)
I also filed away a bit of the blocker that prevented you from moving the arm further over the strings. Shown in the last two pictures is the before and after. After is much better since you can strum with your hand on the bigsby arm still. Great for drifty shoegazy type bends.
I will also include a second low tension bigsby spring from Reverend that you could swap out if you want even lighter of a touch on your trem.
I'm going back to hardtail on this setup as I will be downtuning to basically bass tuning for this current project I am in.
