Signature model limited to 100 units, born from a collaboration between Gibson Custom and Jimmy Page, guitarist of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin.
Jimmy's connection to the SJ-200 goes back to Led Zeppelin's 1969 debut album "Led Zeppelin I." The acoustic sounds on "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You," "Black Mountain Side," and "Your Time Is Gonna Come" were played on a 1964 Gibson SJ-200, and this model recreates that very guitar.
Finished in a nicely faded Cherry Tea color, with a Tune-O-Matic bridge on the moustache bridge. Detailed aging by the Murphy Lab gives it the look of a true vintage guitar. The thick pickguard is engraved with the SJ-200's iconic floral inlay. Back and sides are AAA-grade flame maple, whose exotic figure and weather checking enhance the old-guitar feel. The large headstock carries the mother-of-pearl Gibson modern logo, crown inlay, and "CUSTOM" engraving, with a truss rod cover featuring a thick white border. The 3-piece flame maple neck has a substantial profile that stays comfortable even with a thumb-over grip, and its gradient finish and figure are beautiful.
The label inside the body bears Jimmy Page's handwritten signature, making this an essential piece for collectors and fans. Comes with certificate, ABR-1, Gibson "The Garden" strap, and Gibson accessories. A powerful, punchy sound that is unique to this model.
