Gretsch 6134 White Penguin 1993 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Gretsch 6134 White Penguin electric guitar. Made in 1993 this guitar features a single cutaway Mahogany body with gold sparkle binding, set Mahogany neck and 22 fret Ebony fingerboard with pearloid “Hump Block” inlays with feather motifs. Other appointments include Gold Grover Imperial tuning machines, “G" jeweled control knobs and Space Control bridge with G-Cadillac tailpiece.

The Thin ‘U’ Mahogany neck feels slim and comfortable in the hand, feeling quick while providing a comfortable playing surface. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck provides effortless navigation up and down the neck, whilst the 12" radius Ebony fingerboard provides a nicely flat and consistent playing experience right the way up the register. The single cutaway body design allows the player to access the higher register with ease, allowing for fast lead lines without any obstruction. 

The Gretsch Dynasonic single pickups deliver outstanding clarity producing shimmering highs and a rich full bass response. The individual pickup volume knobs and 3-way tone switch help to inspire the exploration of different tones and sounds that can be made with the guitar. Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Light scratching is present to the all aspects of the headstock, the most apparent of these is located to the front face near the high E tuning post.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.

Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching and markings which can only be seen under direct light at close scrutiny. The most apparent of these are located to the front face bass side of the bridge.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light to mild tarnishing of the Gold finish is present to all aspects of the metal hardware, the most apparent of these can be seen to the bridge and pickup surrounds. A small scratch can be seen in the covering of the pickguard. Small indentations can be seen around the jewels of the control knobs.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Electrics: Fully functional. The original input jack has been replaced, the original is included.

Case & Accessories

Original Gretsch hard case.

Overall very good condition and fully functional. The exterior of the case display mild scratching, marking and discoloration.
