A rare specification from Tokai’s popular "101" series, featuring a stunning quilt top!

This limited-run model boasts a quilted maple top with a "TK Burst" finish, open-coil humbuckers, and tortoiseshell-style binding.

The quilt top displays a beautiful, large-patterned figure that is evenly distributed across the entire surface.

The balance of the figuring is exceptional; the vibrant, striking "TK" color, complemented by the tortoiseshell binding, gives the instrument a refined, sophisticated, and well-defined look.

A pickguard is included with this guitar and can be installed upon request (this requires drilling screw holes).

Please feel free to contact us if you would like this done.

*Please note that the installation process will take a few days to complete.

【Sound】

It delivers an extraordinary, classic vintage tone!

Equipped with two of Tokai’s original "PAF-Vintage MK2" pickups.

The open-coil humbucker configuration provides a direct, articulate response that cuts through the mix beautifully. When played through a clean amp setting, the tone is thick and lustrous, yet remains clear without ever becoming overly heavy or muddy.

You can intuitively craft your sound—from the mellow, warm tones of the neck pickup to the sharp, commanding drive of the bridge pickup.

The moment you add distortion—whether via an amp or a pedal—the thick, rich, and "sticky" midrange characteristic of a true Les Paul is unleashed!!

The guitar is incredibly responsive to your picking nuances and volume knob adjustments, allowing you to channel your emotions directly into your playing—from gritty rock and blues riffs to expressive, soaring lead solos.

No compromises have been made in the electronics, which feature high-quality components such as Sprague "Orange Drop" capacitors and a Switchcraft output jack. ◆____________________________ ◆

【Tokai Gakki: A Philosophy of "Inefficient" Craftsmanship】

Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, these instruments are built with an uncompromising dedication to manual labor—a philosophy we call "inefficient manufacturing."

While this approach naturally limits production volume, it ensures that every Tokai guitar is crafted under the watchful eyes of our artisans. The result is an instrument that feels remarkably natural in your hands, offering a rich, resonant tone and an exceptional response.

Because a guitar is an instrument meant to be played for a lifetime, there is a unique, enduring charm in one that has been carefully crafted by hand. We invite you to pick one up and experience it for yourself.

【LS-101Q】

The LS series, which debuted in 1978, is built using carefully selected woods and the expertise of master craftsmen.

These guitars have earned global acclaim for their high-quality sound and the superior craftsmanship synonymous with Japanese manufacturing.

The LS-101Q stands as the quintessential, classic model within the LS series—a true gem.

From the selection and processing of the wood to the final assembly, every step is carried out by Japanese craftsmen; it is a product made entirely in Japan.

The specifications follow the classic, time-honored formula: a maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard.

The pickups—the heart of the instrument’s sound—are original designs based on vintage humbuckers.

They deliver a broad tonal range, spanning from deep lows to crisp highs.

Even with distortion, the notes remain well-defined, making these guitars an excellent choice for players who prioritize picking nuance.

With a clear, articulate, and well-balanced sound, these instruments are easy to dial in, making them versatile enough for a wide variety of musical genres.

When driven, the sound becomes sharp and edgy—an incredibly satisfying tone.

The neck profile is neither too thin nor too thick, offering a comfortable feel that appeals to almost any player. ◆____________________________ ◆
