DESCRIPTION:

The all-analog 482i Sonic Maximizer restores natural brilliance and clarity to an audio signal by the use of two integrated functions. First, it adjusts the phase relationships between the low, mid and high frequencies through adding progressively longer delay times to lower frequencies, creating a kind of mirror curve to neutralize the effect of loudspeaker phase distortion. Second, the Sonic Maximizer augments higher and lower frequencies as loudspeakers tend to be less efficient in their extreme treble and bass ranges. The end result is a dynamic, program-driven restoration which reveals more of the natural texture and detail in the sound without causing fatigue that is often associated with exciter effects, psychoacoustic processors or excessive use of equalizers.

DESCRIPTION:

2-Channel 140 W Power Amplifier

The SLA1 is a two-channel linear power amplifier designed for passive studio monitors.

It delivers 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 130 watts per channel at 4 ohms. It can also be bridged for up to 260 watts into a single 8 ohm load. The SLA1 offers a wide frequency response of 10 Hz to 40 kHz (+/- 0.5 dB) with ultra-low noise and distortion to deliver the full fidelity of your source material.

Each channel has an independent volume control and status LEDs to indicate signal activity, clipping, and thermal protection. The rear panel has balanced XLR and 1/4” TRS inputs, and binding post outputs for bare wire, banana plug, or spade connectors.

The SLA1 also incorporates our SmartFan system that adjusts the fan speed based on the internal ambient temperature for advanced cooling and quiet operation.
