Koa Pineapple Tenor Ukulele with Raised Hibiscus Sound Hole and Raised Side Sound Port.
Huge sound comes from this beautiful Solid Koa Tenor Pineapple Ukulele. Featuring Rosewood Bindings, Bridge and Fret Board with a wood design inlaid into the fret board this ukulele has warm Koa grain on the top, sides and Back. It also has an interesting Koa Veneer on the Head Stock. Guykar sealed gear tuners are not only very accurate but feature an "easy to change" design to make your string changes quicker.
The large Koa body strung with Worth Brown Low-G Fluorocarbon strings give this instrument warm and deep sounding tones. Great projection and sustain keep the sounds "out-there" and make your playing a great additions to any gig.
Special "no surprises' note: This ukulele has a 'through the body" string connection at the bridge. Through the body offers several advantages to the more common "tied bridge". It is more modern looking, it is stronger against the high tension of the strings and it produces better sound transfer to the top. However, it is just a tad more difficult to change the strings until you are used to it.
I use a straightened out paper clip with a small hook at the end to 'snag' the strings after I insert them through the top. Then pull the end of the string through the top sound hole. After tying a small bead to the string I pull the string through the bridge until the bead is under the bridge. While this feels a bit strange the first time you do it, it really is not difficult. You can find several Youtube videos on replacing through the bridge strings to give you a better idea of what is involved with changing the strings.
