A beautifully made Japanese Precision-style bass from Kanade SOUND DESIGN, finished in Daphne Blue.
Kanade SOUND DESIGN is a small Japanese instrument brand operated by Altero Custom Guitars, focused on carefully crafted instruments rather than large-scale production. Their instruments are rarely seen outside Japan.
This particular bass carries serial No. 00132 — the 132nd instrument produced under the Kanade SOUND DESIGN name.
This exact instrument was sold new by Green Guitars in Fukui, Japan, in 2021. Green Guitars documented the bass in their original photographs and marked it as SOLD on July 11, 2021.
The KPB-AL follows the classic Precision Bass format, with an alder body, hard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, and is equipped with a Japanese hand-wound Kariya-Pickups XⅡP-VintageⅤ pickup. The Daphne Blue finish uses an extremely thin polyurethane coating, with the natural grain and texture of the alder body remaining visible through the finish.

Condition
The bass is in excellent condition, has been very well cared for, and is fully functional with everything working as it should. When I received the bass, the original protective film was still on the pickguard, and the instrument presented remarkably close to new.
