Morel MLP-203 Very Rare***

Morel has been around since the late 70s formed by 2 brothers in Israel and then in Brookline, Massachusetts (where these were made) a suburb of Boston. They merged with Dynaudio in the early 80s but quickly bought them out and went their separate ways after 2yrs. Morel builds similar drivers to Dynaudio or vice versa using 3" voicecoils. The Morel MLP-203 uses the highly renowned Morel MDT-33 tweeter and the 6" Morel MW 164 drivers. Drivers are perfect. Tweeters have had new ferrofluid added 3yrs ago so they're good for another 30yrs. These are some of the most detailed speakers I've heard but they remain smooth and non fatiguing. I can listen to them for hrs on end. The bass is fast, punchy, and the most detailed I've heard to date. They have a fairly wide soundstage with very good depth. Pinpoint imaging with fabulous center imaging. It sounds like there is a center speaker hiding somewhere. They truly disappear in a room.They don't only sound fabulous they look beautiful doing it. Morel used real walnut veneer. Very nice pure copper speaker terminals. No ferrous metals in the signal path. To let you know how great these woofers are there are a pair of Merlin TSM on audiogon listed for $1500. Same exact drivers. Original receipt from purchase in 1992. Morel brochures oddly every MLP model in them but the 203's. I just wanted people unfamiliar with them the quality and standards Morel have stood by since day 1. They still make speakers with essentially the same drivers today.
