The Jet City Amplification Afterburner is a versatile, dual-stage overdrive and boost guitar effects pedal. It houses a transparent, Tube Screamer-style overdrive circuit combined with an adjustable secondary boost stage inside a rugged steel and aluminum chassis. 

Key Features and Controls

Dual-Stage Design: Features two distinct footswitches—one to engage the main overdrive and another to kick in the "Afterburner" boost stage. 

Control Knobs: Equipped with dedicated knobs for Volume (overall output), Tone (frequency definition), Overdrive (first-stage gain), and Boost (second-stage volume/gain level). 

True Bypass Operation: Ensures the pedal will not color or "suck" your guitar's native tone when switched off. 

Power Requirements: Operates on a standard 9V DC center-negative power supply, making it pedalboard-friendly. 

Sound Profile

The pedal excels at low to mid-gain tones, making it popular for blues, indie, and classic rhythm rock. The first stage adds transparent grit to push the front end of a tube amplifier, while the second stage functions as a clean-to-gritty boost to push solos forward in a live mix. It is generally not intended for ultra-high-gain modern metal styles.
