I am selling a pair of ML-2 microphones that have never been used; they are still brand new in box. Full transparency on why I am selling these: by the time I bought these, they were not compatible with my old system (my mistake for not doing my homework), and then they came out with the ML-2As while I was still setting my new system. First world problems. Now, I want to upgrade to the new ML-2As, so I am selling these. What you see in the pictures is the current condition of the microphones. These mics come with the ML-2 software which must be used through Virtual Mix Rack. You should also get the free preamps that come with it: the FG-73 and the FG-76. Please note, these do come with soft cases; they are inside the boxes.

If you are familiar with the new stand-alone version of the Virtual Microphone System that Slate Digital released in June of 2025 - that was released with the new ML-1A, you are eligible to purchase a license of the new VMS upon confirming registry of the ML-2s with Slate Digital if you want it. When you click on the link I will send you and redeem your voucher, you are to contact Slate Digital to confirm registry because this is a transfer - not a direct, new purchase from their licensed sellers. Once the registry is complete, they can send you a special link to purchase a license of the new VMS without needing to purchase an ML-1A or an ML-2A.

These mics are ideal for anyone just starting out in audio production or going into school for production in the fall that is in need of a solid but inexpensive pair of mics to play with, or you are someone that already has the ML-2 software and could use a couple more ML-2 mics for your multi-channel interface.

For the record, I purchased these within the promotional bundle that Slate Digital did a couple years ago; I purchased the bundle at the Long and McQuade in the south part of London, ON. I am selling the ML-1 and the mic expansion packs separately.

Once I receive the payment, I will send you a link to redeem a voucher. Again, after you redeem the voucher, please contact Slate Digital, and they will help you finalize setting it up with your system. I have gone through a lot of trouble conversing with Slate Digital to make sure this will go smoothly. They are aware of me doing this, and I have already paid to have my license revoked; it is ready to be redeemed by the new owner. This should go smoothly, provided your system is capable to run it. The only thing I forgot about that I have to look into is whether I have to pay a fee to iLok for transferring the license, and I will be looking into that as soon as possible.

They have told me that in summary, their current requirements are macOS Catalina 10.15 or later (Big Sur 11 or later recommended) on Intel or Apple Silicon, or Windows 10/11 on an Intel or AMD processor with 4GB RAM, using a 64-bit AU, VST2, VST3, or AAX host. If your system falls below these requirements, you would need to reach out to Slate Digital directly since compatibility can vary depending on your specific setup.

I am not offering a return for these, so please make sure you have taken the time to be sure they should work with your current set up. Again, if you are not sure, please contact Slate Digital before committing to this purchase.

Because there is a selling fee and processing fee, I am selling this at $385; I want $350 for them. I believe that is a very fair price for still being brand new in box.
