This microphone has only been used for several dialogue sessions and as a overhead on drums once or twice. What you see in the pictures is the current condition of the microphone. As you can see, it is in very good shape; what you see is what you get. I am selling the microphone because I already have 2 ML-1s and wish to upgrade to an ML-1A. This mic comes with the ML-1 software which must be used through Virtual Mix Rack. You should also get the free preamps that come with it: the FG-73 and the FG-76. I am also including a free microphone stand as an incentive; I do not need it so may as well include it.

If you are familiar with the new stand-alone version of the Virtual Microphone System that Slate Digital released in June of 2025 - that was released with the new ML-1A, you are eligible to purchase a license of the new VMS upon confirming registry of the ML-1 with Slate if you want it. When you click on the link I will send you and redeem your voucher, you are to contact Slate Digital to confirm registry because this is a transfer - not a direct, new purchase from their licensed sellers. Once the registry is complete, they can send you a special link to purchase a license of the new VMS without needing to purchase an ML-1A or an ML-2A.

This is ideal for anyone just starting out or going into school for production in the fall that is in need of a solid emulator mic to play with, or you are someone that already has the ML-1 software and could use an extra ML-1 mic for your multi-channel interface.

For the record, I purchased this microphone within the promotional bundle that Slate Digital did a couple years ago; I purchased the bundle at the Long and McQuade in the south part of London, ON. I am selling the ML-2s and the mic expansion packs separately.

Once I receive the payment, I will send you a link to redeem a voucher. Again, after you redeem the voucher, please contact Slate Digital, and they will help you finalize setting it up with your system. I have gone through a lot of trouble conversing with Slate Digital to make sure this will go smoothly. They are aware of me doing this, and I have already paid to have my license revoked; it is ready to be redeemed by the new owner. This should go smoothly, provided your system is capable to run it. The only thing I have yet to confirm is whether I have to pay iLok for a license transfer and will be looking into this ASAP (just came to my attention as I was making this ad that I completely forgot about).

For system requirements, here is their current supported specifications, which covers OS, processor, and DAW compatibility in one place:

They have told me that in summary, their current requirements are macOS Catalina 10.15 or later (Big Sur 11 or later recommended) on Intel or Apple Silicon, or Windows 10/11 on an Intel or AMD processor with 4GB RAM, using a 64-bit AU, VST2, VST3, or AAX host. If your system falls below these requirements, you would need to reach out to Slate Digital directly since compatibility can vary depending on your specific setup.

I am not offering a return for this, so please make sure you have taken the time to be sure it should work with your current set up. Again, if you are not sure, please contact Slate Digital before committing to this purchase.

Because there is a selling fee and processing fee, I am selling this at $385; I want $350 for it. I believe that is a fair price for the condition of this mic, the added value of the mic stand and for my time in doing my best to make sure this will go smoothly.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Jesse
