A superb example of the sought-after Burns London Brian May Signature Red Special, built in Korea in 2003. Produced between 2001 and 2004, these early Korean-made models have developed a fantastic reputation and are becoming increasingly collectible among players and Queen fans alike.

Faithfully recreating Brian May’s legendary Red Special, this guitar features an acoustically chambered mahogany body, a glued-in mahogany set neck, and an ebony fingerboard with 24 frets plus a zero fret for smooth, effortless playability.

At the heart of the guitar are three Burns Tri-Sonic single-coil pickups, paired with the famous six-switch control system, allowing each pickup to be switched on or off individually, along with phase reversal switching. This unique wiring unlocks an incredible range of tones, from sparkling cleans to the unmistakable harmonically rich lead sounds that made Brian May famous.

Hardware includes the original Burns vibrato bridge and Grover machine heads, providing excellent tuning stability while retaining the authentic Red Special feel.

This guitar has clearly been cherished throughout its life and plays beautifully. Whether you’re a Queen fan, collector or simply looking for something genuinely different, this is a fantastic example of an increasingly desirable model.

Excellent used condition for a 2003 instrument.

There are some light scratches, minor cosmetic marks and honest play wear consistent with careful use. Overall it presents extremely well and has clearly been well looked after.
